Special Education Disability (SED) Committee Sip & Chat

Sip & Chats are casual gatherings of parents and SED committee members for community building with open discussion and questions. You’ll find the Zoom link in the Weekly Bulletin.
FOSB Monthly Board Meeting
Thursday, November 17, 7 p.m.
Updated location: Our November board meeting will be in person in room 203, across from the school library (second floor).
There will also be a virtual option for those who can not attend in person. Look for the Zoom link in November’s Weekly Bulletins.
This month’s FOSB meeting includes the opportunity to vote in additional directors. Salmon Bay parents, guardians, and teachers are automatically FOSB members, with a full voice and vote on matters that come before us, so why become a director? This helpful page on the FOSB website explains the various types of involvement. Directors make a commitment to attend monthly meetings and participate in important discussions on topics like the school budget, FOSB activities, and general direction of the organization. Interested individuals should email Jackie and Caitlin, FOSB Co-chairs, at fosbchair@gmail.com. We hope you’ll consider joining us!
We are pleased to coordinate onsite childcare during the FOSB meeting for potty independent children. Please RSVP by filling out this form if you plan to utilize the free childcare.
Board Game Night
Friday, November 18, 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Kick off the weekend with a fun evening of playing board games with other families! FOSB is hosting a Board Game Night on November 18 in the school cafeteria. Bring your own games to share, or just come and play what others have brought. This is meant to be a casual after-dinner gathering and a way to meet other parents and kids while playing some fun games. We expect this may be more appealing to the middle school crowd, but all are welcome! Come on in through the 18th street entrance. We hope to see you there!
Garden Committee Work Party
Saturday, November 19
The Salmon Bay Garden Committee will be hosting its first Grounds Clean-Up on Saturday, November 19 (weather permitting). We will meet at the front of the school at 10 a.m., and will work until early afternoon. Feel free to stop by any time! We will be cleaning up dead plants, collecting yard waste, and doing general grounds clean-up. We’d love to have kids and families come help keep our school looking beautiful!
