Quick Actions!

Contact the WA State Legislature

Use the Fund SPS form letters to urge the WA State Legislature to invest in our schools by providing necessary funding to prevent teacher layoffs, school closures, and declining student outcomes.

Contact Your School Board Director

Fund SPS makes it easy to contact each School Board Director with a pre-populated, editable letter. Alternatively, use the School Board contact form or email Salmon Bay K-8’s Director, Sarah Clark, or any/all members of the school board directly.

Latest News & Upcoming Events

SPS option schools and alternative models have been continually targeted for reduction and closure, and the district isn’t stopping. Over the last several years, we have seen the district cut the budget for Salmon Bay K8, reducing the number of teachers and classes throughout the school. While families sit on the waitlist, the district claims our school is under-enrolled. For the 2025-26 school year, the district is capping our incoming kindergarten class to even less, reducing our budget to two kindergarten teachers.
